Safaa Erruas’s work addresses issues of borders, of movementsof expansion and retreat, both in the geographic world and in thepsychological realm. “Sans Failles” is an installation that alludes to borders between the natural and man-made world. The two bouquets of delicate resin-made flowers used for marriage in the Spanish and Moroccan world are facing each other, both punctuated, in their lower section, by long metallic needles that reflect the light. The artist does not give answers, but reflects on issues of athreatened balance, in which fragility and strength mingle, yet oppose.
