“Water Memories and Blooms” is part of the body of works on cotton fabric that Agnes Waruguru has been producing since 2022. She chooses the material for its everyday, domestic simplicity, as one of the references she likes to index her work toward women’s practices. Here, she draws from personal experience, and memory to create a new landscape as a reflection on human interaction with the earth, and how it connects with the inner self.
